Insufficient space and poor design prompted the homeowner to add onto the kitchen and dining area. This kitchen features Showplace cherry cabinets, custom designed cabinet crown build up, granite countertops, Brazilian cherry floors with an inlay border, an island prep sink, a beverage/wine refrigerator in the island and beautiful slate tile work. Careful planning went into coordinating many features of this kitchen. Such things include coordinating the black border in the flooring and black cabinet trim, pearlescent blue and silver in the granite compliments the colors in the slate tiles, elegant arched themes in the countertop, cabinetry, stove hood, tile work and hardware make this kitchen flow. A new design for this kitchen required a wall to be removed for a more spacious feel. In place of the wall, an island was added to open up the rear of the kitchen to the dining room area. The island offers extra counter space for entertaining guests and also increases the amount of cabinet storage. New Pennville cabinetry, laminate counters, appliances and tile backsplashes are some of the features of this remodel.
